Erin Pate
Erin Pate, M.A.CCC-SLP
Hello! My name is Erin and I am thrilled to be another dedicated speech-language pathologist here at PickleTree! A proud Cincinnati native, I went west after high school where I earned my Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Licensure in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Years later I returned to my hometown to complete my Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati.
I am entering my sixteenth year practicing as a pediatric SLP and have helped children overcome challenges in a wide variety of communication needs including speech-sound production, expressive and receptive language delays, apraxia, fluency, orofacial myofunctional deficits and social-emotional skills. My professional journey has allowed me to serve students in private practice as well as in public and private school environments. I find immense joy in collaborating and working as a team with all associated professionals to best meet and service each client’s individual needs.
I feel lucky to live in Mariemont with my husband and sweet daughter. We love spending time outdoors with family and friends, cheering for all of our Cincy teams, traveling to new destinations, and staying active around town. Jess Conover
Hello, I’m Jess Conover, owner and speech-language pathologist at PickleTree Pediatric Therapy. I am passionate about helping children overcome difficulties with feeding/swallowing, Orofacial Myofunctional skills, speech, language, and literacy.
Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of lecturing to other speech therapists, general education, and special education teachers. I also provide consultative services to a variety of speech therapists regarding specific patients on their caseload with myofunctional disorders.
After ten years practicing as a school-based speech therapist, I realized the challenge of practicing speech therapy in a setting where caseloads and educational plans can compromise therapeutic and educational success. Providing therapy through private practice allows me the opportunity to not only customize treatment according to the specific needs of your child, but also affords me the chance to get to know you as a parent and help you to help your child through home programming.
Successful therapy translates to unlocking your child’s full potential, leading to a happier child. These skills build on each other to facilitate higher quality interactions with family and peers. As an added bonus, we often see educational measures improve as well. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
When I’m not furthering my obsession with professional development and continuing education, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, attempting to train our chaotic puppy, gardening, being a chauffeur to soccer/rock climbing/basketball, and falling asleep before the end of a good movie!
